CYNTHIA NDUKO Cynthia is 6years old. She attends Saviour King's Academy,in the Kibera Slum of Nairobi, Kenya. She comes from a very poor background, the mother is a single mum who got pregnant in her teenage years. Her Mom doesn't have a stable job. She tries to find odd jobs such as laundy in the neighborhood which is also not easy to find as hundreds of poor women of Kibera do the same in the middle class homes near Kibera.  They live in a very tiny room with Cynthias grandmother who is HIV positive, and also has Tuberculosis, which is very contagious. They lack food and other basic needs. sometimes Cynthia is only sure of the one meal a day she eats at school. If she gets a sponsor Cynthias basic needs will be met and will ease the burden off the mothersshoulders and the granmothers stress as she is ailing. only sure of the one meal a day she eats at school. BEATRICE ADHIAMBO, Beatrice is 7years old, both her parents are still alive but the family is very poor. Her onlybrother suffers from celebral pulsy and Beatrice is on and off in school sometimes taking care of her brother.

Her father abandoned them for another woman due to the problems at home and their mother is the only one struggling to take care of thefamily, the mother does not have a job and only does laundry work on a day she is lucky to find one. Most women from Kibera slum do sit at the gates of the nearby middle class estate and those who are lucky for the day get to do laundry for someone, if one is not lucky she can wait the whole day and go back home in the evening without anything to put on the table for her children. That is the situation with Beatrices mother as she struggles to raise her children.

If Beatrice gets a sponsor her basic needs will be met and the burden on her mothers shoulders relieved, Beatrice will have a hope and a future.

Kevin is age 13 and attends Saviour Kings Academy. He is very intelligent and a talented soccer player. Kevin lost his parents to HIV/AIDS and stays with his widowed aunt. While he is an only child, his aunt is heavily burdened with her own three children. She does odd jobs to provide for the family, so Kevin is in need of a sponsor who can assist him with education fees. Your compassionate support of Kevin will give him the education and Christian foundation he needs to have a successful future.
